I’ve heard that the Hull derby is so important before I even came over. We won’t lose one while I’m here for sure – that’s my goal not to lose one of those – and hopefully we’ll be the strongest Hull team in the competition. The goal for every team in the competition is top six but we need to look past that and go top four to make sure we have a chance at winning the competition.Top six is a minimum but top four is what we aim for. Perfectly fair to me. We failed on both fronts but I'd expect to hear this confidence pre-season. Grix came over really well.

He tells it like it is and is spot on with his assessment of us.

I think with his mindset and winning mentality he should have a positive influence on the team.
It shows he's here to work and make improvements.

Optimism once again flows through me.

We all want that (or at least 99% do), just don't see any issue with having a bit of optimism, as I've said and the post you seem to have ignored, if you don't like the pre season stuff that comes from the club, then just stop following them on social media.

I'd say more fans would be annoyed if the players went into radio silence then gave up some updates and predictions, as others have said some fans read into headlines rather than read the context, Hoy's comments last year been a prime example.

Some little videos from the first day back at training. Good to see Carlos and Ligi there from Day 1, Hoy with a goose-step maybe shows his hamstring issues are gone, and Jack Brown looks in far better condition than at the same point last year.

No Houghton though from what I could see

They are now saying Trueman has a chance of being fit for round1. That boosts our options massively.
