Could we not have kept Hoy and used him as leverage to try sign Broadbent in a swap deal with Cas? Instead he's gone to Hull KR and we're left picking up the scraps.

You could have tried, but it almost certainly wouldn’t have worked. Remember both Cas and Broadbent would have to have gone for it.

Unfortunately that's the best we can get with the mess we have been left thanks to Pearson and the last three coaches.

No quality available and the only way to get a decent player is to trade one, but we don't have the quality to trade, I'm amazed we managed to trade Mcintosh.

Not sure about Aydin, but the other two will improve us.

Who would have played centre against Leeds, Mcintosh (terrible) and then wing would have been Tindall, who hasn't really impressed in limited gametime.

So is Chamberlain and Briscoe, better than Mcintosh and Tindall.

Remember both these play together and played in the cup final win last year.

Don't know too much about Aydin, but can't offer much less than Gardiner.

If and its a big if, we go for full cap next year amd look to go above with marquees etc, doesn't some of Briscoes salary count as off cap?

Pryce isn't what we need IMO.

Hastings is the type of player we need, but the right character, seems to fall out with someone at every club.

I think he'll be classed at home grown. Think it's only 50k that counts on cap?

How do we know what Gardiner, and Laidlaw, can bring when they play few minutes here and there?

It’s not like they are playing reserves every week.

They surely need a run of games to get their fitness to the required levels?

Fitness apparently comes from playing games but these types of players are not getting that chance.

Not saying they will be good enough but think it’s a bit early to be writing them off?

Thought both showed some promise last week and put in some good tackles.

That's a fair point, Gardiner played 15 games, but would be intrested to see his minutes. Quite like Laidlaw, but doesn't have the size unfortunately.

Someone at the club rightly or wrongly think Aydin offers more than those two at the moment

Yeah and we shall see I suppose but Aydin is only 23 (year older than Gardiner) and not the experienced forward I would be hoping for.
