Feels like we're a newly promoted club and trying to get whatever scraps we can to try compete

Unfortunately we are, as mentioned before, club only has itself to blame, need a way out.

Get a good coach
Spend big next season
Try and pick up a few wins this season.

Should be aiming for 6th place next season and challenge the year after.

No reason this isn't achievable if we have investment (which it looks like we have, paying players off and looking to pay a large RL fee for Rowley)

Aydin in particular I think is just getting some bodies for a week or two and giving the younger players a break from being battered.
It's a shame our two most promising forwards Armstrong and Wainhouse have been injured for this period and we lost Staveley too but that's the hand we've been dealt.
Fash should hopefully be back soon and Ashworth should be back near the end of May so once Aydins loan is up we should be back near a full complement of forwards assuming we don't lose anyone else.
Plus it provides options for dropping people if they aren't performing.

Interesting to read that Tom Briscoe has a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and is studying for a PhD.

Maybe could move into the backroom staff at the end of the 18 month playing contract.

It could have been the carrot dangled in front of him to swap clubs.

You can hear the Benny Hill theme tune playing in the background. Where we are as a club, is scary. when you consider where we sat , pre-covid. We are just not a "big club" anymore in many people's view, because to stay at a club that gets by, sometimes on a month to month basis, with second lowest cap in SL, rather than come over to us shows what kind of draw we are now. Let's hope we have a credible second choice, Danny Ward being mentioned, would slightly underwhelm if I am being honest. Not enjoying the rollercoaster right now, but it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Don't understand the criticism of the loan players. Id be more annoyed if Myler was handing out 2/3 year deals without a coach announced.

Had a set back with Rowley but it's not the end of the world. The club still want a quick appointment whoever that is. We could be a fair way into negotiations with other candidates.

If we're sat here in June still without a head coach it's a different matter.

Exactly, what do we have to lose, worse case they aren't very good and they go back to their clubs.

This season is about trying to get some pride and confidence back.

We can't carry on with our current squad the damage it could do to the young players could be long term.

Still think we will bring in a couple more.

Personally , I think it's a good bit of business moving players on who don't have a future here and replacing them with players who'll probably wont be here next season ,Giving us more scope for better signings for 2025 .
