I really dont see any point bringing in short term signings or loans for this season.Costs extra money and offers no real value.
The fans can see now what the club are trying to do and realise it all revolves around investment money coming into the club.
A simple statement from Pearson to the fans to confirm that the club are putting all their efforts into signings for next season including hopefully some real quality would suffice.
It would also offer a great opportunity for some of our younger players to get a longer run of games than they would normally have expected.
Sao and Brown are available again next week and we have Walker,Trueman,Mitch,Fash and Ashworth to come back in.
We are likely to be on the end of some drubbings particiularly on Friday at Saints but keep the communication with fans and they will understand.
Good to see Balmforth back in the squad. He should play on Friday as we need a bit more size and pace.Seemed obvious Tinkering Tony either didnt like him or rate him.
Maybe give Hodgson his debut at nine off the bench and play Balmforth at 13

Good post, and although I get the opportunity to further give our emerging youth more game time, it’s a balancing act isn’t it, superleague is a brutal unforgiving sport, and as we have already seen with Stavely, who acquitted himself so well, we must remember if we had a strong first team, perhaps we would drop them in occasionally, as Saints Wigan etc will, so for me if the chance this season to induct more experienced players comes along, we should grab it, Charles, Martin Balmforth have years in front of them.

The point i was trying to make Rider was that bringing in a halfback and maybe a second row for this season is hardly going to light up our season results wise and we would be better saving the money and concentrate on finding some quality players and hopefully a couple of marquee players for next season if the funds are available.
With Trueman back and Charles as the back up should suffice, and in the forwards Sao and Brown are back next week followed by Fash and Ashworth in the coming weeks so we have forward cover.
Mitch will come back shortly and provide a better defence either on the wing or centre.

While I can see your point, if we carry on with our current squad for the rest of the year, we might not win another game and could be on the end of plenty more 50 point defeats.

The harm to the confidence of the fans and players (particularly young players) could do long term damage.

Lose every game, lots of fans won't renew no natter who we sign and the coach.

I think we need to bring in some players, would prefer long term to bed in new players for next season.

Would be disappointed with Drinkwater, short term maybe, but a really poor one long term.

Pele and Okunbor will be able to give some insight on Perham. I'd like to think they have been asked their opinion on him at some stage, and if they did think he would be a poor signing then they spoke to about it. The players see more than the fans do, so if they say he would be a good signing and add something to the squad then I'd rather listen to that than the Bulldogs forum.
