I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Out of position, just didn’t look interested.
His stats for last season make grim reading too.
Moy showed more effort and application.
Really don’t like criticising players and understand it’s not easy coming over from Australia.
In saying that Okunbor doesn’t even look like a rugby league player.
My big toe has more aggression.
We just seem to sign bang average Aussies when we could pick up players from the championship.

Pretty fair assessment really. For me Tex Hoy for whatever reason has never really looked like a player that wanted to be here or happy. I do think there is a player in there but he just doesn't and hasn't shown enough to warrant him taking up a quota spot or space on the cap. I think sadly the same can be said for Okunbor who really does look a dud so far and honestly don't see him improving.

So we have Hoy going, Okunbor who doesn't look like he'll cut it and Carlos who spends more time of the treatment table than the six million dollar man. All of which taking up quota spots and frankly they are just not good enough.

Recruitment especially from overseas since 2018 has been awful. This needs to change urgently.

Hoy has looked good at times but not often enough and when you fall out with the coach it's never going to end well.

I see Hoy Snr is at it again

In the land of wishful thinking once more. Patiently waiting for our time to finally arrive.

I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.

Money doesn't talk it swears, Obscenity who really cares, Propaganda all is phony.

I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

A man who lives in hell can still aspire to heaven.

I do have a degree of sympathy here for Tex Hoy.
I've always had the feeling that he is one of those 'confidence' players, one who maybe needs an arm around the shoulder on a regular basis in order to get the best out of him.

I do wonder what he would look like in a better side, one which is on the front foot a little more and could therefore exploit his skills better than we have. It would be interesting to see how he went in a team like Leeds who tend to play a fairly open expansive game. Used correctly I still think he would be a worthy addition to most SL sides (but not us!).

I know some on here will say it should be up to him to 'knuckle down' and do the job he's paid for, but it's a two-way situation. Yes, the player has a responsibility to work hard, but the club (specifically the coaching staff) also have to create a working environment which will get the best out of the players, as in any workplace. I doubt whether going to work at Hull Fc is a particularly enjoyable or inspiring environment right now.

Wrong player at the wrong club at the wrong time would seem to be the epitaph to his time with us. Let's face it, if any of us (whatever our occupation is/was) were working for a company and the prospects for advancement were looking decidedly shaky, I think virtually all of us would cast around for better employment opportunities. Why should a professional sportsman be any different in that regard?

To me Hoy leaving the club is symptomatic of wider issues currently surrounding us. The way the club is being run, the direction of travel (downwards and backwards basically), an everyday work experience which is probably dull and uninspiring, an overall feeling that this is a club/company going nowhere.
Who, given those circumstances, wouldn't want to move on elsewhere?

2 NRL signings and possible domestic recruits incoming according to the YP which suggests Carlos being released, or Okunbor. Or, it could be a British player coming from NRL

Seeing is believing and the proof is in the pudding as they say, it wouldn't be the first time that this sort news has been released by the Adam and the club giving fans (false) hope only for it to not transpire or even be a reality.
I would hope Adam and Clark don't think that words no matter how positive sounding will appease the fans without backing up the words with actions and delivering on the promises.

We already know. I'm surprised you didn't because you do spend an inordinate amount of time on here.
