Late seventies I was at Leigh Colts before going to the Miners. But yes Widnes Tigers. Not sure if we played Widnes colts on there. I think both Hulme brothers played for them that day.
Played for Widnes colts late 70s, the main pitch they used then were the playing fields opposite the Four Topped Oak pub, got the odd game at the stadium if it was free and the odd curtainraiser.
I was one of the youngsters in the squad in the late 70s but we had a great loose forward in the team called Tony Kinsey, he left Widnes to join Reg Bowden when he started the Fulham club. A great ball handler and great kicking game. Anyone know what happened to him? His dad took us for training sessions a few times as I remember.
