I don't think it was any racial prejudice behind his post he's just trying to show he'd support a coach where ever he came from.

Tough. Conversations develop. It's their nature.

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

simple as, been brought up to hate them, and my views will never change. Despite being only 20, and having witnessed the 'derby' for 3-4 years only, I have always considered them 'the enemy', balls to Leigh and Saints or wigan. And I always viewed Cullen as a dirty git on the pitch.
But despite this, I will always love WIdnes a hell of a lot more than I hate Warrington, love out weighs the hate, simple as. Nobody should hate somebody else more so than they love their own team/town. I didn't like the appointment of PC at first but whilst he is at Widnes, I will support the team just like I would a Wiganer, Leyther, scouser, Pakistani etc should they be in charge of Widnes Vikings RLFC.
This post is not a dig at anyone in the slightest as I know some of the lads who aren't in favour of Cullen, but whilst he is at Widnes he deserved our support IMHO. If it doesn't work out then by all means I agree, people have a right to critiscise, but due to the on field antics, not because he is Warringtonian. I bet people didn't boo Rick Thackray or Tony Thornily, they are both wires. Matthew Strong is from Penketh, shall we all turn on him all of a sudden? Thought not!

Like I say no dig intended to anyone as we all detest wires, but lets face it cullen probably realises that. And it isn't as if we have much of a rivalry at the minute anyway. ANyway rant over!

Well at least this is a bit more reasonable than some of the poop I've read lately.

Most of us, particularly the older fans, do love to hate the Wire. As long it is mostly banter, it adds a little spice. That's not the same as hating someone because they come from Warrington.

Cullen is a Viking now and it will be even funnier if we Win a major trophy with him in charge before the Wire do. That would be hilarious!

Reading your original post, if irrational hatred is your main motivator (particularly against a team that's in a different division) I would guess you are beyond being enlightened

You're right. Mozz is no racist and I can vouch for the fact that he is involved in anti-fascist campaigns. He's young and head-strong, but apart from fascists, I doubt he really hates anyone.

an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!

I didn't word that first post very well in some parts, I was just highlighting the fact I would support a coach whatever his passport read. As doc will vouch I am certainly no bigot, can't stand that scene in the slightest. And same goes for Warringtonians, I ahve a fair few mates from t'utha side of towers, two of which post on the Wires forum. I have been brought up to dislike Warrington RLFC, not the town itself. Used to love knocking about round Penketh or Bewsey of a friday evening when I was too young to get in any bars/clubs.
As for that mug 'heathen 55', I think you need to take your bile elsewhere.

This is history. This is history. Right here. Right now. This is history.

I thought it was Widnes?
All games are winnable, whats hard to understand about that.

Wakefield turn over a big club every season and i see no reason why Widnes can't do the same.
You've had too many smarties this morning, young rapscallion.

As PC would say, "I am getting rather discouraged by the obessive nature of your recent ramblings against the Stobart Stadium outfit. I am duly obliged, as Head Coach, of Widnes Vikings, a club steeped in it's illustrious history with devout fans, to urge you to refrain from these underhand tactics of my appointment"

In other words, "do one dick wod" You need more than a maggot to come fishing in our pond.

He's our coach and to be honest if you dont have full support for the coach, even before hes played a game theres something up with you. Give the man a chance.
