Whatever the result on Thursday night, Widnes will get stronger. I think we have better strength in depth than Halifax and have a good reserve side to draw on. Being full-time should also help come the business end of the season.
That's the key. In the last two or three season's we've almost done it at the end but have been undone by full-time clubs. Despite your points deduction last year - look where you ended up in the table. Widnes are clear favourites this season but i hope we (and a couple of other clubs) will take it right down to the wire and show the RFL that this competition has plenty of value.

That's what we need, a strong competition and not one team winning by a cricket score each week they play (but as a lifelong Widnes fan i still want us to win each week ).

Not too bothered as long as we don't get hammered. I'll point to the season when Cas went up and we were awesome until July but ran out of steam. Not the time of season to be peaking.
