Out of interest on that, how many of your current reserve squad would be eligible for U20's next season, putting aside the obvious over age exemptions?

A fair few of that side from Saturday will be as a lot were part of the under 18's winning side from last season. Though will be a few to drop out I guess.

Thinking with SL now is under 20's too young? Especially for bringing forwards through!

I haven't got Saturday's team but off the top of my head I think the majority will get a year at U20's to make an impression before big decisions have to be made.

Some are screwed for want of a better word as they are overage for 20's. Houghton, Lunt and Lee Hudson are the three that spring to mind. I think Jack Reid and Jonny Youds may well be overage too by the start of next year.

I would have thought none will get deals now to go throught to next year. Shame really, Houghton and Lunt should have had more game time in the Championship to at least have the opportunity to decide their own fate.

I imagine we will need the overage spaces for those out of favour in the first team picture.

From what I've seen and heard this season, the SL clubs are effectively treating it as an under 18's comp with scholarship graduates playing in the Academy comp. As you say, I've no idea where that leaves the 18-21 year old forwards to progress other than dual contract?

Should be u23s for Superleague aswell.
