If the next round of Franchises were to be announced today we would be guaranteed. How could we be possibly behind Salford and Castleford under the current scoring system? The only way we would not get awarded a franchise would be if Salford and Cas get a new stadium along with us not getting one and the Wrexham franchise turned into a success! Thats a few big ifs to come together for us to be denied our rightful place.
It would be in Wakefields interests for the franchise system to continue rather leave ourselfs open to a bad season of performances. But it would be happy to take that chance in the interests of RL overhaul. It looks to be that a lack of P/R is killing the game below SL and this is a situation that can't continue.
So you're argument has now changed completely. Yet you persist in avoiding answering any questions raised from your previous rantings...
Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”
There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back! Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY!

So what’s this all about then?

I really couldn’t give a sh/t how you think you stack up with Cas or Salford, but the RFL have said someone is definitely going down. None of these clubs, including Wakey, have a God given right anymore than we do anyway.
I think you may find a history of broken promises about improving your ground, low attendances and finances will be taken into account come licence time.
I've said nothing about you having no right to better yourselves.
I passionately believe in P/R and totally despise the Franchise system. I am completely against expansion at all cost of the heartlands. So I don't see what the problem is. It seems to be that a lot of Widnes fans on here are now coming round to the idea of the franchise system because they seem to think they are a shoe in for one. It seems to be this view point is being held because of their lack of ability to win the Cham/NL GF. Win the GF then you can spout!
We're not coming around to it. We simply have that system and no way of changing that so that is the system we are operating in. You can't be suggesting that because most of us disagree with the system we should not try to operate within it can you? Our aim is the top league. Our only chance is by having a good license. So that's what were going for. We have to replace someone, it's likely to be you although it could be Castleford, Salford, Celtic or even Hull KR although I doubt that very much. But someone from this league, at least one, is coming up, someone is going down. Don't blame us for the system and don't come on here spouting poop.
Until (in the very unlikely event) the project collapses you have f**k all to shout about.
Ignoring the fact that most of us don't really care who we would replace as long as we are the one doing the replacing, this has been said far, far too often to have a shred of credibility. Your club has lied to the fans too often for any such announcement to mean a single thing until there is sufficient building work done, which you don't have.
But to go back on my original point, our license bid is not reliant on you at all. We don't care about you. We don't care about you, Castleford, Salford. We don't care. We have something to shout about. Lots. Including trophies.

Do you practice naivety in front of a mirror? Wakefield are ahead of Harlequins of any metric you could name. Do you think the RFL would drop them before you? If the RFL want Wakefield out of SL in 2012 then they will do it no matter what 'points' you have accumulated.

Pretty much.
A dishonest, lying organisation we are unfortunate as a sport to be lumbered with.
Under the current pointing system our ground scores the same as Cas and Salford! Thats the system as you say! Wakefield are the most resiliant club in SL history, do you really think we will go that easy!
If Wakey, Cas and Salford get there new stadiums, who exactly do you expect to replace??? Maybe Wrexham but defiantly none of us others.
Could any of you really say on hand on heart you want us, Salford and Cas to all get our grounds?? It's not in your interest for all of us to get our ground.
This is what the franchise system does, it creates bitterness between fans. At least it was done fair and square on the pitch no one could complain, well nobody except yourself

Can you provide some evidence of that accusation? I bet you can't.

And you're here giving it a helping hand.
I personally think we would still be better than all those clubs, whether they get a stadium or not. Plus, like it or not, one of you are gone in 2012. None of these clubs, with the possible exception of Cas, would be able to put together a better bid, after spending 4 - 6 years in the lower leagues, than Widnes can. That is a measure of our strength in a process that will heavily favour SL clubs.

There are none so bitter as the starter of this thread.
