Well done to the club for taking the trouble to ask the fans and not to go diving in making unpopular decisions.

It would be interesting to know what the 'sample size' was though.

Other than liasing with the supporters trust and asking the question on here i can not see what else the club could have done realisticly?

I would have gone for a simple questionnaire at a home game (that's where the biggest market is).

I was just making the point that if you ask people who have turned out on a Sunday, what day is most convenient ... then don't be surprised if they say Sunday ... since they have already made it on a Sunday ... etc etc
So it's not objective ... if you see what I mean?.

I do ... though the fact still remains that the sample size would have been bigger.

Of course it would and therefore would appear more scientific... but in this case the result would still have been skewed if you had handed out the questionnaire on a Sunday (which most games were),and would therefore have led to the answer 'Sunday'.
The questionnaire would have to have been delivered in a different way to get an objective answer.

I always expected the answer to be Sunday but was intrigued that on a very small sample size (on here) there were some who I consider diehards who voted Friday. There is an element of assumption that just because people attend on a Sunday now that is their preference ... as diehards, they are probably making the effort regardless of what day we play. That is all.
