First ive heard of that Jim,we should be trying to get more youth sides going around Donny not sending all the best players to one side ,the game needs to encourage new blood and having more teams is the best option open to us, not just one team of the elite

How do I know this.....The guy in charge of the club was decent enough to phone me during a break in the meeting being held by the RFL and the clubs.

If that is true Jim (and I'm not saying for one minute it isn't), it's a monumental act of naivety by the RFL and any Club who adopts it.

I was going to say, it's hardly like we're in a unique situation of having more than one amateur club within the town boundary! Is this causing tension everywhere else or just in Donny?

If you have noticed (You will not have unless your really up to date with the amateur game) there is a power struggle going on within our sport, The RLF Divided the amateur game into 5 sections (Divided and conquer) what it did then was give 4 of the 5 sections 110% support (sorry 5 sections are, 1/BARLA, 2/ Armed Forces, 3/ English Schools, 4/ Students, 5/ RL Conference) Obviously when ever there was is a vote it will always go 4 - 1 in the RFL favour.

The RFL are now in control of the NYL and it's next target is the NCL & Juniors once this has happened they will inforce their pyramid system and the rest can fall by the way side (this could include teams like Donny for a South Yorkshire side and dare I say Sheffield Eagles. Where do they get their coin from).
