The Nottingham Evening Post is now called the Nottingham Post & is published twice a day Monday to Saturday with a morning edition & final edition on sale in the afternoon.

I would say the number of major towns & cities that still have an evening newspaper outnumber those that don't.

Yes but the point here is Donny doesn't, which was the original paper (The Star) which you referred to as 'a paper giving yesterday's news'... or had you forgotten?
Yes there may be plenty of towns with evening papers or at least late editions with some revisions, but that was a secondary issue (no pun intended).
Perhaps I should have said slowly getting less common.

Perhaps I should have said when the star was our evening newspaper it brought us yesterdays news today anyway the star as one thing going for it its a good paper to wipe your bum on

speaking of such matters,do you recall 'IZAL' toilet paper ? it was like wiping yer bum with tracing paper ! We had it at school in the good old days of R & R - all of a sudden The Star seems a good option..........
