Agree 100% with Donny plumber....

Only thing I would add is that despite a couple of decent individual performances from Sanderson, Butterfiled (mom for me) and Scott looked decent in forwards.

I found it quite hard today to keep interested despite a decent scoreline - early days but we should have put more than that past them. Dewsbury will be a struggle....

I disagree, I thought that London fielded the best side I've seen from them in recent years.
It's too easy to blame the Dons for not putting the Skolars to the sword, simply because historically that's what we expect.
Skolars were quite good in defence and it wasn't a cakewalk scoring tries against them.

Plus, we were like walking wounded today.
Spaven was limping all the game, Spurr got several bad knocks and was limping, Robinson was in cloud cuckoo land after one particularly bad knock ... and so on.

I thought it was a workmanlike performance by the Dons without ever being exciting.
There were some stand out performances by the Dons, but I think we are lacking cutting edge creativity from the play makers.
Jack Ely was my man of the match.

I can't help watching Butterfield and thinking he's Chris Ashton.

I thought Mike Emmett had a good game as well, he seemed to hit the gaps when given the chance to.

It wasn't a spectacle in terms of a match, and I think we actually played better at Featherstone. However it was a good result, we did what needed to be done with minimum of fuss; with lots of room for improvement. If we'd have been more clinical in the opening 20 the game could have been all over by then.

I also think that looked one of the best drilled London sides I;ve seen for a while

And as an aside, now I am buying programmes, may I say that your contribution is the most enjoyable thing in there.
Keep up the good work ... any chance of you giving the other contributors a bit of help?

Back to the game ... we got at least two 40/20s ... now that is a big improvement in our kicking game.

Also in a game where the officials (true to form) had to be embarrassed into giving a few forward passes ... of which there were dozens... it struck me as taking the Mickey when they disallowed Scott Wilson what looked like a perfectly good try.

A proper test next week ... we will see how good we are then against Dewsbury.

PS I am glad to see that Adam Scott quickly got out of the notion that passing the ball to the grass was a good idea.

I thought Scott Wilson only just touched the line, but the view you guys would have had was far better than mine.

If the only thing the ref missed was a few forward passes, then I'm happy. He gave offside against the attacking team from a kick off as well, and I've not seen that given at our level in years.
