Dons in the Community : Tue Nov 15, 2011 12:19 am
The Dons' community development team have been busy spreading the rugby league word over the last couple of years and have successfully completed their coaching programme to over fifty schools in Doncaster and the surrounding areas.
This impressive statistic is thanks to the dedication of coaches Adam Lloyd and Martin Rowlands who have worked tirelessly to achieve this accolade. The community team's success is also thanks to the effective management of community project manager Ray Green who is responsible for the day to day running of the department. Green said: "The community development programme has continued to attract local primary and secondary schools at a good pace and we're delighted with the feedback we have been receiving from these schools. "We believe we are delivering a first class programme that is helping these children to develop new skills and, for some, it is their first experience of rugby league. "I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the schools who have already completed the programme and we look forward to working with the schools that have also come on board." We have updated the community section of our website and you can see by the feedback we have received just how important and worthwhile the programme has been to all concerned. If your school or your children's school would like to receive expertise coaching from the Dons then please contact Ray to get the ball rolling. Ray can be contacted on 01302 765888 or you can email him at raygreen@doncasterrlfc.co.uk. |
