Specialist 6 & 7 : Sat Dec 03, 2011 11:42 am
I know we cannot compete with the big spenders in our league , but we need specialists in these critical positions . We have Craig Fawcett only.

I'm not moaning I'm sure TM is doing his best to attract the best available to the club.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

As I have said elsewhere, raising concerns is not moaning.
It could be construed that way by some ostriches, rose-tinted spectacle wearers and those that feel that they are being criticised.

But the fact remains we wouldn't be posting these concerns if we were happy, but we are posting concerns and not just for the sake of it.

Regarding your post, these questions needs to be asked ... are there any real big spenders in our league?
Who are they and where does the money come from?
How many clubs are in the black?
Not many I would assert, yet clubs can assemble better sides on paper, while still in the red.
It all doesn't make sense.

One fact is apparent though, if a club's halfback pairing is not exceptional, they are wasting their time.
Is CF exceptional?
I'd say no.

So in conclusion I would say you are right to voice your concerns.
The lack of posting on here of a positive nature, or much posting at all tells its own sorry story.
People are not revved up with what they have seen so far.

if the 6& 7 jersery,s not filled with quality players we will NOT get promoted, and i for one will not be watching championship 1 rugby the following year, I done my bit this season bought 2 season tickets a replica shirt and a fleece+ £25 0f raffle tickets in an effort to give the club some funds, after supporting the club for 58 years , iwill forego my sunday afternoon rugby if we are not promoted.

58 years wow!
I've only managed 25 years and even then there were periods when I stopped watching, like the time we went to Stainforth.
I think you sound like a 'Dons till I die' supporter and it would take a lot to make you stop watching. I'm a bit like that, although I couldn't have watched us during the Sunday, Bloody Sunday years.
You probably did then?

I'm looking forward to the Hunslet and Sheffield games, they will tell us all we need to know about where we stand.
Hopefully it will all come together and we will do well.

It's at the 'fingers crossed' stage however for me.
