I was thinking it may have been an Aussie select side but on reflection I think that the Rovers staged that at Belle Vue.

The Dons did play the 1952 Australian Touring side at York Rd on Thursday October 30th with a kick off time of 3-15pm the Dons were defeated 41-13 in front of 2600 spectators Dons points came from a try by stand off Lane fullback Griffiths kicked 5 goals. Sorry this wasn't the last Dons game to be played at the Greyhound Stadium.

A Dons Past & Present 13 played a match against a Rugby League All Star 13 on Tuesday evening March 24th at Belle Vue the Dons narrowly losing 26-30.
