Here here

It was the first time this season there'd been any "handbags" and I was happy with the response. Backed each other up and came out the other side responding with bigs hits. We need to start Sunday the way we finished yesterday.

After every game I just thinking back to the odd key moment or two that seemed to go against us and take the game out of our hands, surely that has got to change soon!

I still feel a win is not far off, and the key to that win will be creating tries when we start within their 20, rather than scoring all long distant efforts

You're right there......we are scoring some spectacular (individualistic) tries and not scoring the short yardage (team) tries. in fact we are poor in that area.

PS I don't know if has been mentioned ......for those that didn't go.... the crowd was 192 :(

PPS The referee has let it be known that there was a mistake on the team sheet.....it said Referee T Roby.....it should have said Ropey.

Thought the best try of the evening was Ellerys, given that there was no way that Danny Stanley should have been allowed to offload that close to the tryline.

In my opinion, there are far more positives to take from the game than negatives, our defensive effort at times was truly outstanding, and we only let tries in in the last 10 minutes because that effort had taken so much out of us.
If we can manage to keep that sort of effort up for a full game, and couple it with the likes of Bovill, Leaf and Steen returning to the team, then we will win more games than we will lose.

I felt a lot better after watching last nights performance, than I did after the South Wales game, there appears to be some light at the end of the tunnel now.

Im not sure if league weekly need a report for this game. But still had a word with tony after the game, didnt realise he had made seven changes since Sunday. Basically he admitted he was surprised how strong a side Blackpool had fielded. He makes no apologies for changing the side so much, insisting he needs to give players coming back from injury some much needed game time. I asked if he treated tonights game as a friendly.

To which he replied, he is looking at the bigger picture, we are out of the cup, and we need to pick up in the league. He is also very confident about beating York on sunday even though they are one of the best teams in the division.

He's not alone there ... Carl Hall told us last night to bring our 'winning voices' with us on Sunday. :)

I thought some of the replacements were better than some of those that didn't play.......and that it should be on a merit basis who plays against York.

I had the York coach and stats man in front of me last night and I did nt think they looked too concerned.

Once again we played as individuals (with some notable exeeptions) for most of the game with little idea in the opposition 20 and on too many occasions weak in our own as they were faster, stronger and better organised.

Of course Miller is going to say the Dons are going to win and I hope he s right.

Hopefully York, aided by their spies, will fall into the trap of attacking us down our left wing.

At Swinton, we definately seemed a better side during the periods Paul Shaw was on

Right..... we have rested players for the York game.......fair play.
But this had better not backfire.
Blackpool IMHO will be the top side in the division so tonight was not too bad.....but the clock is ticking!!!!!!
I will be there against York and I expect a win......seemples.

There is not a chance that we can beat york- all pie in the sky.......

The left side defence needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency before the York game.....if anyone of influence is reading this.....please!

Totally agree the left side defence was woeful most of the game, it didn't take Blackpool long to work it out either as the majority of their tries came down that side. Other than that plenty of positives to take from the game.
