I don’t think the Crusaders are an average team. If you look at their results they have only been soundly beaten by Workington. They were beaten by Oldham and Keighley by only 2 points and they demolished West Wales by a similar margin to that which Oldham have done.
The standard of this league has risen and we have not improved at the same rate.
Based upon the quality of the match before us today and indeed several this season I have to disagree. I do not believe that it is the 'lower' teams that have raised their games but rather the rest of the teams have gotten worse.
The standard of rugby is terrible to the point that even though my season ticket has already paid for itself, so this was free in a sense, I still feel robbed.
Long before the final whistle I stopped caring about the result and just wanted it to be over.
This is not the entertaining free flowing rugby league we were promised. It is npt even entertainment. It is also not the form of a promotion chasing side as we awere promised.
It is time for the excuses to stop and everyone from us as fans, through players, coaches and management need to stop accepting the poor standard of our league and the teams around us an excuse to be poor ourselves.
