:( Agreed, I was saddened by so many of our fans booing the Donny team off at full time. Sad to say we have a minority of foul mouthed unsporting fans, apologies from a true York fan.

Referee was dreadful this afternoon, and it is no wonder players get frustrated with such inconsistencies.

At the end of the first half I thought we had the points in the bag, unfortunately forgot about Tonys half time team talk skills and it was quite obvious that we had no plan B to counter act the constant off sides.

Just what has Tommy Griffith s done wrong, to be stuck on the bench & then stuck out on the wing, never mind not playing Kesik either !!!

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thought we played oktoday to be honest. The referee wasnt consistant at all. if hes going to pull us up for stuff then at least he has to do the same with York. Aaron Henry made some great runs looking for the chip over the top and I thought he did well today.

Disgraceful disrespectful york fans at the end though. Not that I expected any different however.

They still think of us as Dirty Donny....it's a label that is hard to get rid of.

I can remember the last time I went there and their right centre absolutely jumped all over Kyle Briggs (I think) and the ref gave York the penalty and the perpetrator then kicked the goal.
And the dandelions??

It's not a place I look forward to going to.....there was a bloke on the mike who used to actively encourage the Knights during the game. I always thought that was something that shouldn't have been allowed.

He'll have his reasons no doubt and to be fair offside is the refs job.

This side is completely different to the sad side that we started with......and I really think that the excuses for defeat need to stop. This is a side that should be in the top 7, but is consistently underachieving. OK we had a bad start, that's history now, we should be doing better than we are.
We need a better scrum-half.
We need to stop making excuses and start winning more games.

We are told that we will be a force next year with this side. Why would that be the case, since this side can't beat anyone away from home? Our away record is rubbish...and one of the reasons I have stopped going to away games.

Scrum-half has always been our weakest position in recent times.
Get a quality scrum-half Miller and let's get moving.

That must be one of the worst refereeing performances of the last decade!
Admittedly we lost it a bit towards the end but the ref caused this by not having any control from the off. He coiuld not control a five year olds birthday party! :(

It's certainly up there.

Such a pity after a decent performance from a ref last week.

I can see why people are becoming disillusioned with watching the sport at our level with performances from officials like that one yesterday!

They guess things, that's what's wrong with refs.

They give penalties for not playing the ball correctly against players who are clearly being pushed and pulled.

And when a ball shoots out of a tackle at a zillion miles an hour, that's automatically because they have dropped it. Is the acceleration due to gravity that high...that it would propel a ball to that speed in the space of 2 or 3 feet??

They don't look down the line for offside, because they daren't.

Etc etc

I used to leave games when I thought we had given up.....I often leave games now because I feel the ref has interfered at a critical time in a good, even match and tipped the balance and spoiled the game. I usually only do this when it goes against the Dons though

But I have watched games on telly and thought exactly the same....that the ref has stuck his oar in with a couple of crap decisions and robbed one of the sides of the game. So what was going to be a thrilling finish is all over with 20 minutes left.

So players get frustrated and the situation gets worse for them.

The ref yesterday obviously had a neck problem as his head would not turn right to see the York players stood two yards in front of him.

What else do you expect from the referees when the man in charge of them is Stuart Cummins who in my opinion was one of the worst ever officals to referee the game remember the Dons away game at Featherstone in the Big League in the 1990's there was no way Mr Cummins was going to let the Dons win that game John Sheridan used to call him "Twister Cummins"
