If Hunslet win their remaining games, we’d have to win all ours for second place to be decided on points difference. They’re presently 119 better than us. Hunslet have a good chance to boost their points diff at home to London. We probably need to win by 50 against N Wales, London and Cornwall to have a chance.
Realistically, it seems as though it’ll be hard for us to finish second unless Hunslet lose one of their last three. Even if they do, we'll need to beat Dewsbury in order to possibly do it.
We need to win three of our last four to be assured of finishing third. That seems possible providing we don’t regress into ‘Midlands mode’ again.
I listened to the commentary of the Hunslet v Dewsbury game. Hunslet seemed as though they deserved to win. Matty Beharrell played a key role for them.
After today’s good win, I’m thinking we’re likely to finish third. What’s everyone else reckon?
