I went to some of the supporters advisory meetings when they were online, my experience of them was there was a lot of people there who never spoke. It was just the same 2 or 3 that made objections or questioned things every time so those are the ones that are still going. I struggle to attend them now they are back as face to face (I already spend a disproportionate amount of my time filling in the social media short falls of the club, something which I and the members on the group have raised several times). I have seen the members who go now constantly questioning and disagreeing with things the club do (most noticeably; player updates, merchandise, social media, club/supporter interaction), they also ask every question that is put to them to ask by supporters. They can't however force the club to agree with them (the player update thing for example has been raised so many times, it's obviously a fight they can't win) or report back anything other than the answer given or there'd be no point in asking. All the notes from the supporters questions are posted now, again the official club minutes are their domain and after trying to get them posted in a more timely seemed to be going nowhere it was decided to post the question answers more more quickly.
Essentially it's advisory, they have to pick their battles, and they do, (as I do when I get chance to have a chat with Carl etc) but there is no guarantee any of them can be won. If it got to a stage where everything was knocked back then there would be no point in it existing at all, but then we'd lose our only connection at all. It's not at that stage.
On the specifics of the restaurant thing, I can't remember it even being raise before it was announced.
