Looking back to the weekend we were very disappointed not to have taken the opportunity to progress against what looked a very average Doncaster side in my opinion. On that showing they were certainly no better than anyone in the upper reaches of the National Conference League Premier Division and had we played to our potential I think we'd have been in the bag for the next round.
I think the quality of rugby we played was far more skilful than that what your boys did. Just look at the quality of the tries that both teams scored. Doncaster probably just had the edge on fitness and professionalism which is what saw them home.
I can't recall a clean break that Doncaster made other than the last tackle panic play that led to Colton's try. I thing we were denied a grand finale when the ref pulled the break back near the end to award Donny a penalty for our 17 calling your 21 an f****** prick after he'd recieved a fair bit of treatment on the floor from him. Have you before seen a penalty given for a bit of verbal sledging between two players? Think there'd be a penalty every tackle if that was the case!

If you've got ambitions of being up there in Championship One then it is either a very poor league or you've gotta improve massively. That said, all the best for the rest of the season from all at Thatto Heath Crusaders.

here we go,a very average doncaster side.no better than top half of nat conference prem division, just wondering if hunslet old boys said the same thing about you lot just losing 18 -17.or did you just have the edge in fitness over a pub team.

They probably did and rightly so! I was away for that one but by all accounts they were the side that deserved to win that game on the day. We were poor and didn't adapt very well to playing on a narrow pitch with a hostile crowd and also a Pennine League ref that reffed it in the style of a Pennine league game, with the rucks taking an age and a short ten meteres too. It wasn't what we were used to but we didn't adapt to it as well as we could and should have done. None of which was Hunslet Old Boys fault and you obviously have to play the conditions that are in front of you - which they did better than us. We are aware that we were very lucky there and got away with one. Had it been on our nice wide pitch with a Conference ref that likes quick PTBs then the game would have been quicker and suited us more - would the result have been different? I'd like to think so but you can never say for sure.

you had an off day then V hunslet O B,s just as we did V thatto it happens,as long as you get the result you want, i dont think it right to condem a team on the evidence of one game,it could have been that thatto played way above themselves.?????????

We were a long way from our best, and with what happened last year, im sure it was always in the back of the players minds that this was a potential banana skin . We needed to get a good start to settle our nerves ,but were caught on the back foot from the off with Thatto targeting China's wing with some good tactical kicking ,resulting in a good first try.In the first twenty minutes we played like we played the previus week against Rochdale ,are line speed and aggession was poor and Thatto took full advantage of that producing some good plays attacking from deep .We lacked vision at times selecting the wrong option on too many occasions putting ourselves under pressure. With a few more players back next week we should kick on and start to produce the stuff we saw at the end of last season, our fitness is excellent but we cannot let teams get two scores infront before we deceide to start playing, if we want a top four spot. Full credit to Thatto Heath and good luck to them in the conference this season .COYD

If we played above ourselves how would you explain the Phil Brown style b0110cking the players got on the pitch at the end of the game. Believe me you weren't the only ones that had an off day.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

If you had had an on day and we had had on on day ... I am pretty sure that we would have beaten you by a bigger score.
Easy to say I know and no way of proving it.
So you having an off day and us having an off day made for a better game, if you were a neutral.

You lost, get over it.
