Thought the Dons did really well today , good to see Grant Edwards back . Listened to Radio Leeds on the way home John Kear was interviewed gave the Dons the credit they deserved .

A few thoughts from today ...

Really good effort from the boys ... 18-10 at the 50 minute mark ... to a man they deserve credit for pushing a decent Wakefield outfit.


50-10 at the end ... as has been said, flattered Wakey a touch but that's how it (generally) goes when full timers meet part timers.

Wakefield support ... turned up in numbers ... thanks for that, a decent atmosphere, a good cup tie.


Crowd given at 1800+ ... seemed like a hell of a lot more to me (sorry but it did!)

Grant Edwards ... great to see him back in a Dons shirt after an awful injury.

... and now my big bug-bear from today (and I'll be careful and ask it as a question) ... is Kyle Kesik not up to playing longer than he does? He gave us great go forward and imagination and I for one cannot understand why he was withdrawn at 18-10 when we seemed to be starting to cause them one or two problems?

Well done to the Doncaster Dons, they are a credit to the league. They never gave in against us and they should be very proud of the effort they put into todays game.

And congratulations to you as you scored the best try of the match, it was a joy to watch. Good luck for the rest of the season.

nice to pick up all the plaudits from all the wakey fans,that is why this great game of ours is a great game when both sets of fans appreciate the other teams efforts,dons fans enjoyed the skill and class from wakey,and the never say die attitude and non stop effort from the dons it has been said before that is what makes us come back week in week out, did Adam scott get M O M

Really good game and a good run out for our Wakey boys. Donny were very entertaining with some good offloads and undoubtedly the try of the match.

Best of luck for the rest of the season, with the talent you showed this weekend you should be pushing for promotion at the end of the year.
