Re: A Question for In The Dugout : Tue Apr 05, 2016 9:15 pm
Baz, can you please ask why club Doncaster bought the club to not then provide major investment, it doesn't make any sense, the concept of club Doncaster surely is to have cross marketing opportunity and potentially increase support between each club.

From what we have seen since they took over is a club run on a strict budget which on the face of it consist of funds from the rfl and income the club generates from season ticket sales, gate receipts and lottery. Therefore leaving no choice other than to sign a lot of young potential, we desperately need an experienced half back to organise and lead these kids, yes this would cost money but would give our long suffering fans something to cling on to.

Our main competitors appear to have a greater resources and are paying higher wages, that's what I am told by players, if this is the case I propose our owners commit financially or try and find other investors. I admit this wouldn't be an easy task.

Good question well put rugblyman, may be that question could be put to Club Doncaster at the next forum also.

I appreciate the owners saved the club , by paying off a tax bill but we are going backwards .

I would speculate and answer for that as I doubt we'll ever hear the truth but I suspect there are some government funding that the club could tap into for being a "Community Club" as well as getting financial gains from running the Academy programme.

Having Football and Rugby together would mean then have a larger net to cast.

I dont think anyone would enjoy asking the hard questions at the moment Paul...but I think they need to be asked, it would appear Club Doncaster is doing nothing for either the Rovers or the Dons and DR continues to be a crutch for the Dons that we shouldnt need.

If we look back to the season before last we were even reliant on DR then how many times to Whiting or Miller bail us out and win us games and help us finish so high up??

Its just in the last two years we've had poor players, we were very lucky first time out.

Hi Rugblyman, I will send your question but it maybe next week as there is a cut off for sending questions in. But i will send it in for you although it may get asked on next weeks questions.

I think it would be a good question for the fans committee, as Gavin Baldwin attends that.

Thanks Paul for your kind comments, i have broad shoulders and will attempt to get any questions answered.

Did I notice a change in the position on Dual Reg , did Carl hint we may not be as reliant on Hull in the coming weeks.

I would rather us give a chance to the 2 lads from Dewsbury .

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

When will Jordan Howden turn out again?
It's been a while with no info on his problems.
