Carl the salesman fails to deliver again what a surprise! wonder how many more season launch tables and season tickets he sold on this non story? you could see him squirm every he was asked about this on itd, hally's hot air strikes again!

Good intentions aside ... I think he has seriously boobed on this matter.
Get them in the keep net before you start talking about fish caught.

As for Wellington, Widnes can have him.

What happened to a man's word is his bond?

Some things are worth more than money.

Mind you, if one if those slime pigs called agents got involved then anything goes.

I don't think there will be a shortage of ITD questions this next time.

I fooking give in ....
hally's hot air, by accident or design, you are right and I am wrong!

Mind you, I mentioned their names on here not Carl.
Perhaps it was MY fault!
How spooky to think a bit of idle chatter on here could have alerted Widnes.
I hope not.
Because I would feel that I let Carl down and not the other way you round.
Sh/t!

We appear not to have firm evidence SO that WA was one of the players that CH spoke about. He may well have been on the Widnes hook for some time. Dave K's source thought we had him it appears but it's not to be. I'm personally good with it all and I do not see the point of getting livid over an issue that I have no control over. Relax mucker and enjoy Christmas.

I'm afraid he told me in person at the launch night and no doubt others.
So we did know.

Still many folk were talking about it and not just me ... so I will relax and get the Port out.

It is a big disappointment though and not much chance of replacements being found in time for the start of the season.

It does beg a lot of questions though. My understanding was that the contracts were in place and we were just waiting for visa's. If that is the case how can the Widnes contract be valid?

Even more reason not to castigate yourself then. If that was to be a stella signing then you most certainty did not let the pussy out of the bag.

Anyway any Port in a storm

I Can strongly recommend Taylors 2012 LBV widely available at around a tenner or the M & S LBV at about thirteen quid, both very delectable and much better value than a bottle of red wine for a similar price

In house buying terms we appear to have been gazumped, I do agree with SO if WA has gone against his word then chuff him.

It's took me 8 hrs to get up off the floor after s-o wrote he was wrong and I was right wow miracles do happen this time of the year! lol, joking aside I get no pleasure seeing carl and club doomcaster continually letting us down and then having a rant on here because clearly despite our niggles on here we are all in it together and want our club to be the best we can, I have many faults but I've always thought myself as a good judge of a person and whilst carl's a top bloke and been very loyal to this club were going nowhere, if I fail to continually hit my targets at work I'm down the road so why is it different here? season after season we are being conned and tricked into keep ploughing our hard earned money into this club with very little return.

The signing of Wellington Albert by Widnes is still subject to visa approval

http://www.runcornandwidnesworld.co.uk/ ... s_Vikings/

I understood that the Dons were hoping to sign two PNG players so are they still interested in the other player?

If the Dons don't manage sign any of the PNG players this must mean there is still money available to sign players that are resident in the UK

Re: New signings! : Sun Dec 17, 2017 4:17 pm
They were a duo originally and it looks like Stanton doesn't qualify, so it was all about Wellington, who we figured just qualified.
Widnes would probably have got the pair if Stanton had qualified.
Kinda glad he didn't now.

So he is out of the equation.

Yes there may be money freed up from this Flopsville Arizona escapade but I would think the Rovers would be less likely to spend it on journeymen.
These two PNG players would have been a major coup.
And like I say a good few months have been LOST on the Flopsville Arizona project.

I think these two PNG players would have made us a force in this division.
Now at the next ITD, I think Carl will say we are on the lookout and then the dreaded words ' but we will go with what we have got.'

Then hha will go ballistic and I will be peed off.

I think Doncaster have been a little unlucky here.
Widnes interest came late and as a direct result of their recent signing form St George Will Mathews having second thoughts about coming to the UK and he was allowed by Widnes to cancel his contract.
Difficult for the PNG player Super League v Championship 1 what would most of us do irrespective of money.
