Just seen the high shot on TH, as bad as it gets and a red card should have been brandished. The Newcastle player should have been out for the rest of the playoffs.
I'm not keen on ref-bashing but he gave himself plenty of time to arrive at the correct decision and still didn't!
Justice would see a ban for the player and some education for the official.

No. The disciplinary committee can review and refer any incident, even those where the official took some action. What tends to happen however, in the vast majority of cases, is that those dealt with on the pitch rarely have any further action taken.

If they do review it I hope that for the sake of the game (and players health) it warrants sterner action. Not one for mixing the Rugby codes up but you have to say in Union that type of head shot would be severely dealt with.
