I don't think I'd read too much into this S/O.
If I remember rightly, the same rules applied last season for the season ticket offer.
I'd guess that as the Ticket Office is being by-passed, it might be saving the club some money. Secondly, I don't think the Ticket Office take cards on Match Days either.
I do find it rather bemusing that the Ticket Office make a charge for paying by debit cards. Could you imagine the uproar at Asda if they said, "That'll be £102 please, plus 50p extra if you pay by card."
The admin time taken up by having to count cash, the security risk, and banking it must cost more than the electronic payment costs.
It would be intersting to know why the stadium policy is: No cards on match days, and why they charge for using debit cards.
Come on everyone: Support the Dons, and get your season ticket on Sunday!
I seem to remember paying at the ticket office last year, so you are not right.
I paid by credit card and paid the 50p
The good thing about credit cards is... that supporters who might be a bit boracic can buy a season ticket.
People who are a bit boracic ,come tomorrow, will not be able to buy a season ticket simply because they haven't got the cash ...a cheque is just cash delayed by 4 working days ... ie you need funds in the bank.
The net result will be that less people will buy season tickets tomorrow than would have done.
And the ticket office is easier to find.
Trust me.
On the plus side, people who want season tickets at a later date will pay more = more money for the club.
Anyway, I will be getting mine tomorrow.
What is the concession price ... anyone know?
