The signings so far have been ordinary.

I have never felt this in previous seasons.
That doesn't mean to say that it will not all work out well and these signings be good ones.
The main point is this and only this ... on the face of it, does this side look stronger than the side of last season which only got us to 5th in the league.
So far the answer is an unequivocal NO.
Same budget presumably.
Nothing on that side has changed as it?
So why do we appear to be going backwards?
There are other signings to come, hopefully ones that will shut me up. But time is ticking down.
