Well we've done well in the draw.
We've got 1 Championship1 side and 3 Championship sides out of a group of 5 of each.
Good news is that the Championship sides are local, the Eagles, York and Hunslet.
More bad news is that the only CI game is AWAY.
So much for the NRC then.

If you like playing the Eagles and Hunslet you will be in your element in the first couple of months of 2012.

This could be blessing in disguise - we are never gong to win the NRC and bowing out at the first stage could help us later in the season

Another way of looking at it is that we could lose 5 out of our first 6 games. That will create interest no doubt.

No doubt a tough start to the season ...

If we can compete, but not necessarily win, against the Championship sides, we'll have done well. I don't think success should be measured by whether we win these games, more so by how we play in them.

We're bound to have more rough edges than the Champioship sides too, as we're building a relatively new side, which puts us at a disadvantage. Others will be somewhat more settled.

I agree with S/O that racking up a few losses won't do much for attendance levels.

Let's hope we do ourselves justice and create a platform from which we can build for the rest of the season.

Well i think its a good draw , we should get 2 decent crowds . We maynot qualify for the next round , but should prepare us for the league matches against Haven & Barrow .
