Really disappointed for us. Ross is the sort of player who makes a difference. We're now shorter on 'beef' than I hoped we'd be.
To have a good chance of winning the league next season, I think we need a couple more big lads for the front row. We got few injuries to the props this season but we need more strength in depth simply to provide cover too.
Maybe the club's plans were put on hold with regards to who else to sign until Ross made his decision? Let's hope we get some good news shortly.
Good luck to Ross. With the right coaching, I can see him in Super League in a couple of years time. I'm sure playing at a higher level influenced his decision and I can't blame him for that. I'd like to think he would have stayed with us had we gone up.
