Marwan Koukash and another investor are looking to set up a team in Liverpool in 2021: Next year we've probably got Ottawa and New York to deal with, the year after Liverpool... As far as current League One clubs are concerned, it may mean two up this year, none up next year, and one up the year after? Are we certain that its the City of Liverpool in the UK?
There are towns called Liverpool in
Nova Scotia
Illinois
New York
Texas
On current form I would think the RFL would like to have a new team in one of these places in preference to the United Kingdom

I wonder how many Dons supporters have watched the Dons play at the old Knotty Ash ground in Liverpool.

I gave watched the Dons play at two different grounds in the Squires Gate area.

That got me thinking ... I've been to Blackpool Mechanics and Fylde RU (twice IIRC) to watch the Dons.

The first time around 1990 time ... the ground had a concrete or wooden shelter which served as the dugout and inside it was an old settee and armchairs ... sophisticated or what?
We had just signed a big lad called Andy Clarke and he played ... we narrowly lost.
Second time, different place, they had a proper clubhouse and Seb Luisi was playing and McKenna.
We won after a blistering start, but they pegged us back in the second half.

On one of the occasions (at Fylde RU), Josh Charnley played for Blackpool. We were well beaten sadly.

I went to Alt Park in Liverpool to watch us play Huyton in the Geoff Fletcher days.

Seem to remember that the ‘crowd’ had to get involved with clearing bricks & broken bottles off the pitch before the game could start.

The locals had basically trashed the ground.

Was glad to get back on the bus after that one!!

Alt Park ground was a palace compared to Knotty Ash the window cleaner used a sander

Talking of Alt Park the vandals hung Geoff Fletcher's donkey from the cross bar
