It would appear via Kyle's other half on cleggbook the players received a letter a month ago stating they were "undecided" about their futures and then silence.

The Kirman states he believes that no players have been informed if they been retained or not which is clearly not the case as two players have confirmed their enforced departure via family members.

These guys are then expected to give 100% on the pitch when surrounded by total uncertanty, especially in the case of Kyle who has given 10 years excellent service through thick and thin.

If this is true then the club has treated these guys with zero respect and to be honest they are best away from the club and it's seemingly toxic environment

Could it be the club have not spoken to players is the fact we didn't know which division we would be in in 2020 and they were looking at upgrading some of our current squad.

If they have recieved a letter saying undecided them surely there is still a chance they will be offered a deal for next season.
I could understand it if the club had said ," sorry you dont figure in our plans for next season and wont be offered a new deal" then fair enough but by the looks of it they have not.

Why not just wait until the season is actually over then rather than a month ago?

I have know idea , but the club must have its reasons.

Maybe all clubs have a duty to notify players the same as an employer issuing notice that their contract will be terminated.
I don't know the answer, but there must be a valid reason i'm sure.

The month's notice would make sense if a contract was being terminated within its lifespan or redundancy but if a contract is naturally expiring then they wouldn't have to give notice.

I believe your information to be incorrect Steve.
Even if you are on a fixed term contract , when the contract expires you are classed as being dismissed by the company so a letter would have to be issued , some players may be on a multiple year contract and would have to be given redundancy if they have been there for two or more years.

I stand corrected, that said failure to communicate with "staff" and giving no response to inquiries not even to say "it will depends on where we finish" isn't professional or respectful to your employees.

Personally I cant see why players families would contemplate being on a fans forum.

Players have games were they don't perform and fans vent their frustrations...…………………… its natural , you cant expect to be treated like a hero every week , some weeks you or the team under perform and family come on Facebook moaning that the player has been criticized.

I feel sorry that Kyle has left the club ,but by the sounds of things he jumped a little early if what the kit man says is true.
His commitment to the club over the last ten years has never been indoubt, and im sure where ever he turns up ( If it is in league 1) he will show as much ,if not more determination to prove what a great player he has been for the club.

What has happened to our CEO. Since he’s had his new jewellery around his neck we’ve barely heard a peep from him regarding the dons.

And Brad England. To be without your player of the year is a big loss.
