One or two more top class signings would bring me back but seems too much to ask. When the club thinks the sale of 200 season tickets is good it shows a total lack of ambition and no understanding of what it needs to bring supporters back to the club.

like the above posts Im not overly impressed with our squad as it stands to date,,, and 200 season ticket sales is very poor, I stand by my post of many weeks ago that you (drlfc) could not give me a season ticket let alone sell me one.. I hope the club announce a couple of big forwards that have signed for us and proves me an idiot for this post,,, but we dont think that will happen do we. we are six weeks away from our first friendly without a full squad,,, Im not deliberately trying to be negative just realistic. But anyway merry xmas to all,, fans players and the management.

Poor season ticket sales is the result of under-achieving last season. The only way to get people back now is to be successful on the field.

Maybe a few more fans could be persuaded if any additional signings are of a high enough standard.

Quite a number of existing Season Ticket holders said they wouldn't renew if the Club continued to take games to Featherstone. At the recent meeting with Club Doncaster, I asked about renewals v new ST applications. As part of that conversation it was stated that the Club had produced a list of those who hadn't renewed and would be contacting them. We may never get to know, but I would be very interested in the feedback?

My personal view is that had we been promoted it would have been much easier to sell ST's even allowing for a couple of games being played elsewhere. I agree, the bottom line is the best way to attract people back or interest new supporters is success on the pitch.

I also concur with previous comments about where we still need to strengthen.

my point was /is the club may have a couple of GOOD props lined up to complete the squad but they are not going to sell season tickets on ifs and maybe,s Any big names /new players should have been announced at the point when s/t went on sale and the fact we are playing home games away is a BIG turn off for most fans. Im looking forward to seeing the newly signed players but at this moment in time i dont see us being better than last year,,, probably fighting for 4th place again only to get thumped in the play offs...

In defense of the club, I don't think they're hiding anything from us. I know from the recent Fans Panel Meeting that no one new had been signed at that point. Carl was working on some new signings at that point.

I too don't like the idea of playing home games away from Doncaster. This doesn't do anything to help bring fans in/back but whilst ever we play on a grass pitch at the Keepmoat, I suspect this will always be an issue.

To Wanderer ...I got a letter about ST renewal, I am on the list of those not renewing thus far.
I am not renewing, but for better reasons than the main one, which is we continually underperform on the pitch following poor recruiting.
The second main reason is playing 12 away games and 8 home games which ruined our promotion bid.
But if the club can't sort that, they need a correspondingly better/ stronger/ costlier bunch of players to offset this self inflicted abomination.
Which means our side must be patently the best in the division from the off ...and it's NOT!
Sorry ... I think it is not.

im in agreement with SO I have had a season ticket for a few years now, last season didn't use 5 of them for one reason or another.2 of them were obviously playing at Featherstone.these 2 games could have given us the extra points we needed to finish 3rd.

I also have not renewed due to featherstone and underwhelming performances the last few years. As of yet the key area we have always been weak in, the forwards, has not been addressed also.

If we sign some players to fix this issue and then play an entertaining brand of rugby I will happily pay my £15 on the door and the club will have more money from me in the long run.

Also I am not interested in all the bumf that comes with the season ticket so that does not represent good value for money for me either.

I feel the same Adam. Incidentally whilst I would love to sign the Albert brothers I wouldn't mind signing Elsie. Anyone else seen her?

Interesting that Adam...

At the Fans Panel meeting, when asked to comment on the 'additional extras' I said I wasn't the person to ask as I'm not remotely interested in 'extras'. All I want is a ticket to watch rugby. It's good to know I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I've had the 'purple book' and the DNA card for several weeks now. They're still in the drawer with my Season Ticket receipt, untouched.

I'm a tight Yorkshireman who spends nothing, so I can't save anything!
