Not the first time Richard I've been shamed, I'll cope. The Dons are a RL team that I support, I'm not wedded to them, they are not family and I do not pee blue and gold.

Promotion for the Dons is what matters to me regarding the team. It means increased revenue, increased attendance in a good stadium and a better place for the club financially. If folk want to get out of bed regarding the teams colours, crack on.

Why consult the fans ?

The club has taken the decision to try something different for a change , the maroon is different I grant you but would you rather we played in rovers red and white?

If you don't like the shirt buy the away kit ,its not rocket science.

The club cant do right for doing wrong in some peoples eyes , we have assembled what looks like a good squad for the season and people are moaning about the colour of the shirt and not attending matches because they were not consulted.

I think a few of the moaners on here and cleggbook are the very same people that said "If Kyle leaves i'm never setting foot back in the KM" ………...well don't .

The club is trying its best to deliver on its objectives, if you want to be consulted on which trap RH takes a dump then try putting your money where your mouth is.

I like the maroon too ... it's different.
But I don't ever think falling out is a good direction to take.
From a business point of view purely, there is a maxim that states ...if you don't listen to what your customers want, then you're asking to fail.
But I'm a maverick anyway ...let's have a shake up!

I will give a valid reason why the club should consult.

BECAUSE at the Supporters Liaison meetings I attended COMMUNICATION was a key word.

Lets face it , the club is hardly going to go to the wall because 20 people don't buy a shirt.

We still have a blue and gold option if that's your choice , I admire the idea of thinking out of the box and trying something different.

Far too often the club is criticised for trying to offer something new, we have the makings of a good season with the team we have and the doom mongers are at it again.

If another club were to have signed Watson ,Rangi and Matty, three of the best halves in the league if not the Championship people would be asking why we had not signed them...……………..Well we have and Club Donny has put their money where their mouth is to try and give us the fans the best chance of reaching the Championship, and all we can do is whine about a shirt colour.

I think some on here would rather us fail so they could say" I told you so" , Rugby League needs to evolve , the days of the past are gone , the club is on the up , with the world cup and the likes , never forget your history but always keep moving forward.
