Good luck to the 17 that are picked. I wonder if RH will go with the same squad he chose for last Sunday?. Would be nice to get the win but personally not bothered if we lose and hopefully injury free whatever the outcome. The priority is a week on Sunday IMO.

Trouble is folk like me will be using this game as an indicator of where we are at and after the debacle at Thornhill would like to see a more professional display.
It's wins we need not excuses ...RH has already mastered that area of the game.

Winning breeds confidence, losing creates personal doubts. The Barrow game will seem much more challenging if we lose at Workington. It'll seem much less daunting if we beat Worky by 20.

Whilst losing in the cup won't be a big issue for me, it's the potential knock-on effect for the following week that would worry me more. The mental scars will remain.

We may have strengthened our side, but so have half a dozen others, so essentially little has changed pro rata.

It will be interesting to see how the bookies price up this cup game. The Dons are currently 4/1 third favourites for League One behind 11/4 joint favourites Barrow and Newcastle. Workington are a general 10/1 chance along with Hunslet and Rochdale, behind the front three and fourth ranked Keighley who are currently 11/2.

Allowing for the handicapping philosophy that home advantage is said to be worth (approximately) 6 points, I suspect they will struggle to separate the teams in terms of this particular fixture. We shall see ...

Dons are 10/11 giving Workington a six point start with Bet365.

We're 4/9 to win the match with no handicap.

The weather will bugger this game up for the Dons.
