Why is is Club Doncaster? Tickets for the Rovers for adults start at £21. Senior 60+ is £17. Rovers have kept the 60 plus discount, both clubs under the same umbrella. You may have to ask that at the next Dons fans and club meeting.

I did raise this issue at a previous meeting, Wilf.

Marketing man Shaun Lockwood said that he thought there were sufficient concession deals with Season Tickets, Early Bird Prices, and the offer to buy five tickets in a block.

I suggested that to risk alienating long serving fans in such a way was a mistake.

We should be rewarding older fans for their loyalty.

I will raise the matter again at the next meeting to see if the club will consider a change to this policy.

No date has been set for the next meeting as yet.

Thanks Mike. His reply is understandable given the discounts they see has available. What would have been a decent approach is the acknowledgment of the data that they must possess that indicates that there are a lot of senior fans who have been with the club for decades and deserve (IMO) a senior discount. My Father in Law is 90 and by my reckoning should not have to pay the full on the day ticket price as well as £4 to park. That is just my view on the situation.

I think the ticket prices are generally good value for money.

My main issue is that older people are likely to have health issues and find it more difficult to plan in advance. They could well prefer to wait until the day to see if the weather is half-decent or whether they feel up to going. It seems quite harsh to charge more in these circumstances.

The extra income the club may raise by such a policy is minimal but the loss of goodwill could be considerable.

I believe disabled parking was free before this season but the Dons have now come into line with Club Doncaster policy on this, requiring disabled badge holders to pay. This does seem rather harsh to me.

I don't see the issue with regards to senior discounts as the deals offered to Dons fans are the best in all divisions .
I do however think £4 to park is a little steep given the mobility of some older fans.
Maybe a £2 carpark fee overall would be a better solution as most , myself included , park in the outlet and walk over to the ground.

The season ticket this year is excellent value with the DNA card , voucher book and Wembley ticket thrown in , however if you cant attend all of the games then purchase the 5 match ticket which is only £55 or £11 per game the same as concession rates elsewhere.

I feel some of the posters on here are being a little predantic, most of the criticism comes from posters who no longer attend games but are unhappy when the club tries something different to increase attendances and give us as fans a better matchday experience.
I was based in Germany may years ago and they have a saying for this "schadenfreude" to derive pleasure from others misfortune.

Many have commented on the colour of the new kit ,and how our colours have always been blue and gold, however I can recall lots of shirts over the years that were various colours not just blue and gold , it seems its just another stick used by the odd few to beat the club yet again.
On purchasing two new shirts for my grandkids I was informed by the lady in the club shop they had sold more home shirts in the first month of this season than they did of both home and away shirts all last year, so obviously that's a positive for the clubs expenditure.

On a different note, I watched Newcastle get the better of Dewsbury yesterday on the red button , Connor Scott looked like a world beater and received high praise from the commentators for his barn storming carries and strong defence. Its a shame we couldn't get the same out of him while he was here.
I always thought he seemed a little soft for such a big lad , however he looks to be developing into a good championship level prop, and I wish him all the best as I always found him very affable.

Newcastle looked good , playing open fast flowing rugby.
It is something that we need to follow if we are to achieve our goal of promotion to the Championship.
There is no doubt our squad looks more than capable but our application could be the issue.

Well Richard Huby has an issue with it...
I buy an early bird and go irrespective of the weather.
But if circumstances changed and I couldn't get it would be wasted.
5 games for £55 would be the next best for me although this season I can't guarantee I will see another 5 home games. It might be useful for Huby though.

I think if the power's that be don't hit the targets they claimed or if the same repeated guff we hear week in week out don't get addressed we should be allowed show our displeasure there's a fine line between being negative and having the wee wee taking out of you, as for Connor Scott now showcasing his abilities it's all down to player management, are we an unlucky club or just a very poorly run club? I know which side I'm on

I suppose all issues seem like less of a concern if we're ripping it up on the field.

The club are trying to put more things on to generally improve the match day experience, especially with regards to getting more kids involved. I do like the new announcer. Announcing the substitutions is helpful.

I saw Connor Scott in the Dewsbury game against Widnes too. He's running with conviction and making very good inroads with his drives. He's certainly punching his weight now.

I agree that Newcastle looked good yesterday. Full-back Lewis Young is a major handful. Newcastle had a couple of very big second-rowers. They helped create space for Reece Dean, QLT, and Liam Finn to exploit. With Lewis Young joining the line, their backs were a real threat every time.

Of course we should all be able to voice our opinions, positive or negative. I don't agree with everything the club does but I do know they care passionately about the Dons and they are trying their hardest to get things right.

Minor point of order Liam Finn plays for Dewsbury

I don't doubt for one minute that everybody at the club doesn't care that's never been the issue my main issue is we as paying loyal fans are season after season being told the same thing repeatedly, it's got to a point where i couldn't give a flying fig whether we have 'sponsors lining up' or whether RH says we're 'absolutely flying' in training that's the guff I'm on about to keep us fans who have been constantly let down handing over there hard earned money, simply the cycle of excuses for underachievement is what is making people stay away for me there's 2 kind of people 1 who accepts this and never questions the hierarchy or the other who are proactive and want better for there club, it just seems nobody is accountable for anything that happens

Should we assume anything less than a top three finish would be a failure in the eyes of the club.
I know it would in the eyes of the fans.

The way we have played so far this season I would be amazed if we hit such heights , my prediction would be fourth place at best with Newcastle , Barrow and Rochdale above us ,but i still live in hope of a return to the Championship.
