Following the fans panel last week and Carl Hall’s open letter to supporters about the Dons response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the Dons, the club can now release details of our #COYD crowdfunder. Last week supporters were informed that all season tickets and multi-game passes would be deferred until the 2021 season and asked supporters to take up this option rather than request their money back. In addition, Carl made it clear that for us to be competitive in 2021, we need a successful crowdfunding campaign. Club Doncaster has kept the Dons alive to date, supporters deferring season tickets will keep the club alive next season, for us to be competitive, we need to raise funds over the autumn and winter months. Hopefully, the Club will provide an update in due course as to what the take up is (numerically) on each of the options and of course what has been raised.

Considering the money being splashed about by the likes of Ottowa , Keighley , Rochdale and Barrow and the RFL statement telling us they cannot and will not be able to save every team that falls in to financial difficulty , would it be a safer and more cost effective option to consolidate this coming year and push for promotion in 21/22 .

We all know that without a rich benefactor and substantial crowds the bubble will burst on one or two big spenders.

Keighley have pushed the boat out, with the signings of Murrell , Webster and QLT while Rochdale are signing players every other day.
Ottawa have signed four or five players from the top end of the Championship, with no doubt more to follow before the season begins.

Newcastle seem to be keeping their powder dry at the moment,........... big spenders last season backed by a billionaire, who has made no secret of his plans for a Super League team in the northeast, however no announcements of new signings much like ourselves.

How long before the big spenders big names fail to perform and the buckets are passed around to save the club from oblivion..........................better to be mid table and still have a club to support than blow the budget on the dream of Championship rugby that may never come to fruition.

This may not be what fans want to hear , but with the club doing right by the fans and money tight..........., then surely a competitive side is all we can hope for next season.

Depends on the response to the initiatives on offer .
The price of season tickets will also be a factor.

I would be surprised to see ticket prices exceed £100 , the club will be trying to get crowds back in the stadium.................. after all some money is always better than no money.

The club are showing good faith by honoring last years tickets ,and with the kit returning to blue and gold will be hoping to pull back support lost over the last few years expensive tickets will be counterintuitive.
