Rovers have announced the last of their pre season friendlies, home against Sheff Utd on 28th July. Its beyond a joke for me and I'm glad that the 5 match ticket I recently purchased will not be wasted by visiting Castleford.

We all realise that the Keepmoat is out of bounds for games whilst the playing surface renovation takes place but make sure that the communication is bang on and not left to fans to find out themselves by hunting around the bloody internet.

That's what i was getting at, we had factored in that we would have to purchase an extra ticket to see all the remaining games at the Keepmoat, now we can save £24.

The explanation on the website is: "The move comes to give the Keepmoat Stadium extra time to prepare for a busy schedule of fixtures across Club Doncaster in August."

This absolutely beggars belief.

Rovers at home 7th and 21st Aug.
Dons at home 1st 22nd & 29th
Eagles at the KM? 1st 15th

Is there a scenario of unless the Eagles find another venue for the game against York(KO 4.30pm) on the 1st do we have a 2pm KO for the Dons?

If Sheffield playing at the Keepmoat in August is a contributory factor in putting too much pressure on the Keepmoat pitch, resulting in us having to play at Castleford, then whoever made the decision to allow Sheffield to play here in the first place has got some questions to answer.

Looking at the Eagles website, they've not got any venues down for their matches apart from declaring the Halifax game on 7th July is at Wakefield. Maybe the Eagles have been asked to play their August games elswhere?

Wilf, our home game on 1st August against Hunslet is shown on the Dons' website as having a 2.30 kick-off.

It would be nice if the club could clarify why a Rovers friendly two days before the N Wales game can take place but our match can't.

I could understand it DM if say they needed to give the playing surface an extra week to set or whatever the correct term is. What is annoying is we have to move and travel and yet the football team get to play two games on it in less than a week during the pitches alleged vulnerable period.

Anyway I've done this to death, time to move from Pitchgate and look forward to a top 3 finish

There's nothing on the Dons' website but there's something on the Dons' Facebook page about a possible bus to Cas if there's enough interest... just thought I'd mention it.
