The attendance was poor. I think the announcer said 776 and that included quite a few from Keighley. Down from last week's declared figure of over 1100 when next to no one from Coventry was here.

It's really disappointing that we can't get more for such vital games.

I'm guessing that last weeks attendance was influenced by the past players being present and the parents / families of the children involved pre-match.

True, I joked on the Coventry thread that I thought the attendance probably included 300 past players!

I suppose it's a nice way to be able to claim attendance figures are going up when they're not really as good as they look.

I thought the lads were outstanding today , its a shame that cant be said for the officials.
Numerous high tackles and shoulder charges went unpunished , even the Keighley players in the bar after the game agreed Charlies was never a straight red.

Ben stays on the field and we win the game comfortably.

Hopefully we will have one or two bodies back next week , after yesterdays performance i wouldn't fear anyone in the play offs.

I think Workington are in a false position and would be beaten by every team in the top six , Keighley looked average until the last fifteen minutes when we began to tire and a trip to North Wales will not be a cake walk for them next week.

How many of their star players will be busting a gut to get back to the Championship after dropping out to play in league one.

Can you see the likes of Muzza , QLT and Webster playing in the Championship week in week out when they are already contracted for next season on nice large contracts to play league 1 no way they will be wanting to return to the intensity of the Championship after a couple of easy seasons in League 1, they all have another couple of seasons on their backs and none of them are spring chickens.

The whole League One situation is a mess. How can clubs offer contracts to players for next season when they don't know what the central funding will be or what they'll be playing for?

If the two leagues of ten happens for 2023, how could there be promotion for any League One club into the second league of ten when six teams from the Championship would be relegated?

I'm afraid only the RFL have the gift of making such cock-ups.

No stability to structures and funding makes it impossible for any club to forward plan. Crazy!

Charlatans at RFL can't even say Cockayne was innocent. No further action?!?! So he headbutted him hard enough for sending off sufficient??? These clowns need calling out

I've got a good video clip of the incident sent to me, it isn't a head but, he's trying to get up, the Keighley player doesn't even appeal for it, the touch judge just thinks he should seen something, absolute joke a red card was given out for an incident not seen by the ref, totally ripped off in that game, feel real sorry for the players ad Donny were by far the better team but a man down and a group of officials that couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag made it an uphill struggle that nearly came off, fatigue was the deciding issue.
Hopefully a bounce back next week
