Let me be the first to congatulate you on an incredible effort today,im a cougars fan and back in 95 we beat Highfield 104-4 and I thought that was good.!! very well done,you can only beat whats put in front of you and you obviously remained professional throughout,I feel for Gateshead though,on that score they shouldnt be in the professional ranks I feel.

to be fair to gateshead when they had the ball they weren't a bad side, just couldnt defend against a very physical blackpool, a lot of young kids in gateshead side who struggled with the pace, but to be fair to us, we were ruthless in attack and defence all throughout game and never let up, all round excellent performances from all, big mentions to gateshead's 9 and 14, didnt diserve to be on recieving end of such a walloping, standout performers for thunder.

It's a shame Blackpool couldn't get another 11 points then they wouldn't have held the record for the highest score conceded any more

Seriously though, 132 is a hell of an achievement regardless of the opposition and it's nice to see RL emerging strongly on the Fylde coast again.

I'd agree with that - the team went about their business professionally with no showboating (other than Ballard gifting Haggerty his hat-trick - which was then missed by the scorers!!), he should have done likewise, it was embarrassing and classless

A lesson to be learnt there, methinks.

I care to Disagree.. I know the lad.. Hes one of the longest serving Club members. Goes back 8 years to the Chorley days and Even when weve been getting Hidings over the past years Always turned up every week In and out and always been enthusiastic.. I was stood with some Gateshead Fans on the balcony who thought he was Fantastic even though they were getting Drubbed..

He's a good lad anyways , always got time to talk to people and Listen to Ideas and Always has a happy face.. Make Hay whilst the sun shines I say

Anderson had his put on a plate too. I think the announcer was fine. What else could he do, just a bit of fun and he wasn't being rude to anyone.

Markill - what he could have done is this: called it straight and professional.

Those of us who've been around more than a while and been on the end of similar scorelines both as a fan, club official and player, know that the last thing you need in a situation like that is the winning club coming across as being disrespectful, having a laugh or at worst taking th p*ss at your expense.

imho it wasn't a smart thing to do.

Oh dear what have I started.

I only said He was annoying. I guess he would have been more annoying if he'd had Just Been saying "conversion by tom heming way Sponsored by whoever" all afternoon over and over again.

I've been to salford before and the announcer Deliberately made all our announcements Fast so no one could hear them .. Also At warrington Sean Mellor Used to point out the early exit Gates when Warrington where Putting a socre on a team.

Take it with a pinch of salt and dont get all Hyped up about it
