Visit //www.geofflee.net for details of my novels 'One Winter', 'One Spring', 'One Summer' 'One Autumn' 'Two Seasons'. and "Three Good Years" All six feature Rugby League against a humourous Lancashire/Yorkshire background and are inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller."

For all those people now faced with the prospect of having to self isolate and wondering how best to pass the time, can I suggest something to do that is interesting enjoyable, educational and cheap.
Try writing a novel based on your own life.
This is something that I started doing as a hobby in 1988. It was inspired initially by three things: my interest and knowledge of the game of rugby league, its history and its characters, my family tree going back to 1777 and the old saying about work that "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller."
Based on my own experiences, I have now written some general advice on how to get started. Contact me at wgeofflee@gmail.com and I'll send them to you.
However if anybody would like to read my latest novel it is titled "Three Good Years" with a background of Work, Family Life, Saving The NHS and Rugby League.
It is set in the fictional town of Ashurst which is 'located' somewhere near to St Helens and Wigan and among the many characters who live there is Janice who hails from Oldham and used to work at Ferrantis at Hollinwood.
It is available from the publisher London League Publications. Visit their web site at http://www.llpshop.co.uk. Click on Books and then Fiction.
Under Books there are also details of two books written by Craig Halstead. From Watersheddings to Whitebank and Roughyeds Against All The Odds.
