As with most posts from York fans way off the mark and incorrect. There never any compensation to be had just wishful thinking by York to try appease their fans after JD left, why let truth get in way of fiction.

The Knights got a fee and a pre season game at home to Keighley wih the Knights keeping all the gate money, which wont be a lot because Keighley dont have an away following.

The Press can today reveal the Knights have received some compensation from the Cougars following his switch, in the form of a fee plus a pre-season friendly next year from which York would keep the profits. FYI
