Bit ropey at first but you get used to it. I think the graphics aren't that bad as the sprites are quite big compared to EA Fifa players. The sound is appalling though. The crowd noise seems to be on a 20 second loop and when a player is tackled hard it kinda sounds like the commentator shouting "ooh!"

I played all night yesterday and failed to score one try, defence is hard to master aswell you kinda just end up bashing the square button trying to get control of the right defender. The slide defence and compression defence is a masterstroke though, especially if you know your opposition's strengths and weaknesses!

if anyone wants a game my psn is jldix87. Has anyone else really struggled at the jump from easy to medium it's one of the steepest learning curve on any game i have played so hard to score points but still quite easy to defend

i realy like the game, yes it is hard to score trys but if it was too easy we would all be complaining more and personally i like a challange.

The graphics are poor but this doesn't bother me because i believe the gameplay to be very good and personally the way it plays is far more important than how it looks and it was well worth my £45.

There are 3 things about the game that i do not like and i hope they alter if they make another game.
1. There is no franchise mode. I would personally like to play just more than 1 season and be able to sign players from other teams.
2. There doesn't appear to be a way of updating the squads which is very irritating for me because i am the kind of person who likes to have all the current squads.
3. This is not the fault of the game but is something that annoys me, there is never anybody online to play against.

Like most people I'm only scoring about a try per game on medium and resorting to taking drop goals. I just can't seem to get an offload away, and when I do it gets intercepted. There's definitely a speed boost too because I can't score at all from more than 10 out. It's really annoying because on easy my games end up like 50/60-0. I might try playing longer than 20 to see if it gets easier to score when the opposition gets fatigued. Has anyone got to a stage where they can score long range tries on medium? I might try playing more online to see if that helps, I played one game as Wigan but the opposition picked Australia so unsuprisingly beat me 24-0.

My record on medium with Wigan is:

W Crusaders (h) 24-0
L Hull K.R (h) 0-18
L Warrington (a) 18-0
D Catalans (h) 6-6
L Bradford (a) 30-7
W Hull F.C (h) 4-0
L Castleford (a) 12-1

They've made it quite realistic where you have to break teams down and get repeat sets etc. I find bashing X in the tackle gets you serious yards.

I'm getting used to the game now and finding it easier but the way you have to wait for the 9 to get to every play the ball drives me mad.

I like to scoot sideways too and draw the first man but the hooker only goes forward.

Yes that's what I used to do on RL2 but now they just run forward no matter what you do. I struggle to work out which player is which, sometimes the half (the one without the play making icon) will be at first receiver and another time it will be a centre or a forward. End up having the half backs running the ball in.

Don't like having to wait until the ball goes out of play for the subs to come on. Also, your players stamina will be fine until you get to last 10 or so minutes of the game when all of a sudden the stamina levels just drop.

I'll be online again tonight, prob after the football, i'll add you Grimmy.
