Been released by Rovers, 21 years old backrower. Only seen him in a few friendlies so cannot comment on his ability. Always a shame when a youngster is released, but we seem to have done ok on this front with not many bettering themselves after being released, (Mariano aside maybe)
I suppose with the new academy system then there is a need for quality rather then quantity.

Has anyone seen him play regularly, will it come back to bite us on the bum?

I have no inside information but would suspect the club are well served in his position. In the ideal world he would get a run in the A team but as we don't run one there is nowhere he can get good quality game time & at his age he needs regular games to progress in the game, I just hope he is not lost to the sport & he finds another team soon. I would not mind if he kicks on & comes back to haunt us, it might make the management think of ways to bring on youngsters for the good of the game.

I thought he was very highly rated so quite surprised by this.
