Vella Galea Weyman were arguably better players but Newton for me was the best in our superleague time.bought into Rovers and understood the fans .spoke to him a fair bit and he genuinely disliked the curly turds and had the passion of a local player which is rare from Aussies. Right niggly hard player and we haven't as a pack had that for few year maybe Clark looks like he has a nasty streak,?Newton was better than Galea at rover's for me but both were great in attack and marshaled defence very vocal and exactly what you want from an import.we have had too many quota players who are no better than players on a third of the wage
