Wooden Spoon : Sun Jul 17, 2016 4:51 pm
Unless Fartown can go to resurgent Warrington and win, it now looks like we have avoided the long predicted ( by some/most) bottom spot.

Draw or win next Thursday and we guarantee 4 home games in the qualifiers.

Shamone motherfucker!

You'll likely end in the dizzy heights of 11th as the ginger whinger thinks the fixtures will be easier

Take your pleasures where you find them, innit?

Bizarrely, if we did manage to beat Leeds (we probably won't, but still), we would not have fallen very far below realistic preseason expectations in terms of position and points.

Expectations were low, we won't meet them and if we lose to Leeds the spoon is still on. But given the trauma of an awful preseason, the direst predictions on Campese's fitness proving correct, getting bounced out of the cup by Oldham, Peacock's determination/obstinancy in not adding to a thin and injury-ravaged squad, and one of the longest interim appointments in coaching history, it actually could have been worse.

We wouldn't be scraping to avoid the wooden spoon if your team hadn't of bombed the Leeds and hudds games :D

All finishing 11th means is we have Leigh at home rather than away

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

You posted a couple of times last week, although I didn't think it was anything to warrant a ban, maybe we could do an unbanning swap, you back on Hulls and Mrs B back here?
