Cock is the word if you heard him on the super league show, the man is a disgrace, teams like batley shouldnt be given the extra funding they have earned should go to the super league teams. Batley have rebuilt there ground on the pittance they have received from the game so i would say the RFL would be better off giving it to teams like Batley rather than Cas and Wakey who have done exactly what with there grounds given they have received approx 20 million more. The man is a buffoon and i hope KR fans condemn his stupid remarks

Have Batley rebuilt there ground at the end of the day they will always be a little club who draw less than a 1000 fans with no expected growth ever so wind your neck in and look at the bigger picture

Re: Jamie Peacock : Wed Sep 07, 2016 9:55 pm
I said it on another post the super league is not financed enough from sky that's why we only have 12 teams and where playing some teams possibly 4/5 times it ridicules and its the people who govern our sport and sell it to sky are blame.

There should be enough money to finance fully 16 teams in top tier with funding available for the next division and the coverage of matches by sky of that league also, this way the super league would not feel so inclusive and relegation of one up one down would give all clubs a chance to aim for the top, the very people who fund our game are the ones killing it and our powers that be are selling rugby league well short.
I think Batley and other great old clubs will go to the wall if their fans can not see a proper route to the top and some equally good funding to help make this happen, Union is laughing at league no one watches the clubs sides on sky but they get massive money put into it we are the poor relations due to inept governing body at least this present format gives some teams a bit of cash but by no means is it the answer or anything resembling one for any of us

I agree but we are a lot bigger club with a lot bigger fan base are Batley going to attract crowds of 6000 say if they were promoted no I've nothing against Batley there a very well run club but there at a level now which in reality is the highest they could ever go
