If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.

2 Tough Easter Fixtures : Wed Apr 12, 2017 3:58 pm
I'm excited to see how the team performs over this Easter period against the 2 teams closest to us in the League and arguably fellow Middle 8 qualifiers.

Fev have Richard Moore and Luke Briscoe suspended and injuries to Walton and Mariano. No Leeds players either available to them on DR. I know jack s*it about Toulouse other than they will be hard to beat at their place.

I don't underestimate either team as they have quality, but it helps our cause that we have some more bodies back. If Addy gets the nod, he definitely owes us a performance, as he has been bang average at best so far.

I reckon we will raise our game against both teams and beat Fev by 14 and Toulouse by 10.

Is anybody else sharing my optimism?

I am really looking forward to the games & how our coach approaches the short turn round. I would go full strength Friday against Featherstone to get the result then see who are able to back up on Monday. Then pick the strongest side possible as Toulouse will have had to travel for the Friday game & are in the same position as us. Lets worry abought the cup game when it comes. Whatever happens it will be interesting & show us just where we are in the promotion race. A good result against the first two will put down a marker for the 8s.

Re: 2 Tough Easter Fixtures : Wed Apr 12, 2017 4:34 pm
I expect Toulouse away to be our hardest test to date. In front of a large and very partisan crowd it would be a stern test at any time.
But with a team containing some of our younger fringe players and only 3 days after what could be a very testing game against a well coached Fev outfit.
This could be our first loss of the season.

I think beat Fev by 12 lose to Toulouse by 8

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result

For the first time in a few years we seem to have a decent squad depth as somebody pointed out we could have fielded a completely different team on Sunday such were the injuries and with a lot coming back we should have enough to beat Fev then some fresh players to come in Monday and we should beat Toulouse

Youlouse are away to London this Friday on the i-pitch at Trailfinders. Tough game. It's s*it or bust for London this game. Imo if they lose this, Halifax or Batley will be favourites to reach the Middle 8s at their expense.

Hopefully London will get stuck into the garlic and cheese eating surrender monkeys a bit harder than they appeared to have got stuck into Fev last Sunday. Still fancy us to beat Toulouse at their place.

Easter always tests teams and their strength in depth. How often in the past few years have we limped into the Monday with a patched up team following a good Friday derby.

I don't know what Toulouse''s strength in depth is like, it may be a test of the coaches skill in managing his squad.

I know they do really heavily on their aussie full back running from deep positions to start a lot of their attacks and have two very quick wingers

garlic and cheese eating surrender monkeys...?

Good to see racist xenophobia alive and well, hope the people of Toulouse know that all the women in East Hull are single parents and unemployed (which of course isn't true) I really done see why people criticise s very great country because of ancient history.
