Crafty Cockneys : Sun Aug 13, 2017 6:18 pm
Moving on, this now becomes the most important game of the season. I have given up trying to predict the side that Sheens might put out, so that makes it hard for the opposition to work us out.

We need to keep working on our attack cos it was rank yesterday. I'd love to see Atkin start based on his impact yesterday.

I would expect London will be very disappointed to drop a late point today but if we play anything like we can, I'd expect us to win.

They played very well away in France.Barthau and Sammut are smart players.Few young lads with superleague experience and will be after an upset.Agree if we have proper attitude we should win but yesterday and today show anything can happen.Thought London would win today and also thought Fax would plug Widnes. As a fan I want to see us repeat the 1st half we served up against them at home in league then be ruthless and hammer them to help with points diff. We could demolish them or it could be similar to Fax game,im hoping for a big win

PROUD TO BE A ROBIN!

Re: Crafty Cockneys : Tue Aug 15, 2017 11:35 am
This would be my team to play London.

Quinlan
Shaw
Heffernan
Blair
Moss
Ellis
Atkin (he would be my main organizer to take pressure off Ellis, and see if Ellis will thrive at 6, lets remember he has had some good games for us and deep down he nowhere near as bad as he has performed in the last 2/3 months or so)
Jewitt
Dockar-Clay
Johnson
Greenwood
Addy
Lawler

Masoe
Lunt
Cockayne
Clarkson

Would rest Scruton and Carney as we will really need them for the Widnes/Cats games. Also if we manage to have a comfortable lead (which I don't reckon), then use Lunt as sparingly as possible as like Scruton he is worth his weight in gold to us.

Leave Moss where he is. He's showing his quality. Quinlan can't get through a game, never mind put a run together. Minns should be back next weekend, that's if his biscuit legs have healed.
Other than that keep the squad the same. You can't disrespect anyone in this league. We go all out whoever we play.

These next two games are as important if not more so than the Leigh game, and with a weeks break between them. Resting players against either club would imo be detrimental. if we lose either of these, the win against Leigh would count for absolute zero. We have to go full on again to ensure we keep the pressure on Widnes and catalans.
I also agree that we should leave Moss where he is barring an injury to Shaw or Carney.

The time for resting players is long gone best team every week there's only hopefully 5 games to go

A thousand times this!

Fax running us so close should have put any other remaining thoughts out of peoples' minds, IMO.

This and Fev are huge games for us, and we need the best available team out there giving their all.

I agree, we cant take anyone as easy in these games, doing so could undermine our focus and come back to bite us.
We have to play our strongest side whenever possible and try and up the tempo and quality every game from now on, though I would have Atkins on from the start as he looked more direct when he came on in the second half, plus I believe he will keep on improving with every game.

No sense in resting players when they all have a week off for rest anyway.
